Campus Festival at the 19th Theatre Confrontations Festival in Lublin

Campus Festival was inaugurated during the first iteration of Ruhrtriennale under the artistic direction of Heiner Goebbels in 2012. The originator of the concept, Dr. Philipp Schulte, invited European universities and EEPAP to collaborate. Throughout subsequent iterations of Ruhrtriennale, students from various countries had an opportunity to get to know each other, take part in the festival and seminars designed especially for them, as well as attend meetings with artists.

The Lublin-based edition of the project unveiled during Theatre Confrontations will bring forth space and time for an encounter of students of Polish theatre departments, who not only have no opportunity to spend time together during the academic year, but often do not even know each other. The seminars, conducted by Lublin-based and guest scholars, will directly address the themes interwoven in the festival programme.

The first ever iteration of the project in Poland will be attended by 30 participants from, among others, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Kraków’s Jagiellonian University.
